The Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs are set to meet in a highly anticipated matchup on Saturday night, with a celebrity presence at Bryant-Denny Stadium likely to include former President Donald Trump.

Alabama head coach Karen DeBoer, who led the Crimson Tide to a No. 4 ranking in the most recent Associated Press Top 25 poll, was asked about the possibility of Trump attending the game and its impact.

“We're going to have a lot of people here, celebrities and the like, who want to come and see what's going to happen on game day,” DeBoer said. Via AL.com“Everybody's watching. I think it's great that everyone who wants to come and watch is here.”

“For us, I told the guys, in terms of 'Game Day' and everything coming up here, to try to lighten the load as much as possible for the guys, other than a few extra interviews heading into the weekend. The most important thing is to prepare to play the best football game of the year. I've always asked my guys to play the best football game of their careers. As far as what we can control, that's what's important.”

“But it's great to have so many people wanting to be part of the atmosphere and add to the excitement and energy that the game brings.”

Trump is expected to appear at the game and security will be stepped up in Tuscaloosa. The three-time Republican presidential nominee has faced two assassination attempts in the past two months.

“These events are of particular concern given the potential for hundreds of thousands, yes, hundreds of thousands, of people to attend,” said Acting Director of the Secret Service Ronald Lowe, who was not interested in discussing a possible Trump appearance at the game.
