Elon Dershowitz, Film Producer, Passes Away at 64

Renowned attorney Alan Dershowitz shared the news on social media that his son, Elon Dershowitz, passed away at 64 on Sunday.

Elon, a film producer, was known for his work on “Reversal of Fortune,” featuring Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons. Family members stated that he suffered a stroke, according to reports. Along with his film projects, Elon also produced “The Dershow,” his father’s podcast, and created sports documentaries for ESPN.

Alan Dershowitz, who is an emeritus law professor at Harvard and contributes opinion pieces, shared a link to the announcement on X, confirming his son’s death.

Elon started performing at a young age, showcasing magic tricks to diverse audiences including former Democratic Senator Edward Kennedy and the Boston Celtics.

He is survived by his father, Alan, his stepmother, a brother, a sister, two cousins, and an uncle. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his mother, Sue, and his aunt, Marilyn.

In a final act of generosity, Elon donated his organs. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday in New York City.

Alan Dershowitz has had a long and notable legal career, representing clients such as O.J. Simpson, Jeffrey Epstein, and Donald Trump during the first impeachment. He has also penned more than 50 books throughout his career.
