An argument over cartoons turns deadly in Alaska, leaving an alligator dead and two brothers jailed while the alligator recovers.
Tyler and Ricky Rowe's feud Thursday night came to a head when they threw each other's exotic pets out of the window of their shared apartment into the snow, according to Alaska State Police.
Tyler, 33, threw Ricky's pet alligator, and Ricky, 30, threw Tyler's alligator out of his Wasilla apartment. Alaska News Source Coverage.
It is not clear which anime sparked the controversy.
State police were able to locate a surviving alligator, but were unable to locate an alligator that was presumed dead, according to the report.
Neighbors have described strange encounters with police officers tasked with finding a creature that looks very out of place.
“They say, 'Have you ever seen an alligator run down here?' And I say, 'Are you kidding me?'” said Matt Strickland, who lives next door to the Lowe brothers. told Alaska News Source.
Strickland, who has been living in an apartment about an hour's drive from Anchorage for a month, said she had no idea the alligator and alligator were right next door.
According to reports, officers were called from the street after Ricky Rowe left his apartment with his 2-year-old child.
Both brothers were arrested and charged with animal cruelty and assault.
Ricky Rowe faces additional charges of DUI and child endangerment.
