Key down-ballot races in today's early voting states
There are three congressional districts in each state where voting begins today.
- Greater Alaska Area: In 2022, moderate Democrat Mary Peltola pulled off a historic upset by defeating former Governor Sarah Palin in the state's final round of ranked-choice voting. This year, Republicans are hoping second-time candidate Nick Begich can return the state to Republican hands. Peltra has made fishing the focus of its campaign. Begich focuses on energy policy. This race is rated a Lean D in the FOX News Power Rankings.

- Colorado's 3rd Congressional District: District 3 spans much of western Colorado. Thanks to its largely rural, working-class population (Aspen being an exception), it has remained safely Republican for more than a decade. But in 2022, the race has dropped to just 546 votes. Incumbent Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is moving to safer Republican ground this year, making the race between former Democratic challenger Adam Frisch and Republican attorney Jeff Hurd. The ranking is Lean R.
- Colorado 8th District: The 8th Congressional District begins in rural Weld County, which President Trump won by 18 points in 2020. But the further down you go, the more suburban it becomes. Democratic turnout was high in Adams County, with Biden winning by 16 points and Democratic Rep. Yadira Carabeo scoring her first victory in 2022. This time, the incumbent will face Republican state politician Gabe Evans. This is a toss-up race.
