Things got ugly on Sunday night in the Concaf World Gold Cup quarterfinals between the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and the Colombian National Soccer Team.
USWNT’s Alex Morgan and Trinity Rodman were at the center of multiple clashes during the 3-0 win over Colombia at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. There, the 21-year-old Rodman was seen defending the veteran Morgan, who confronted him chest-to-body. During the second half of the match, he clashed chest-to-chest with three Colombian players.
In footage circulating on social media, Rodman appeared to be exchanging words with Morgan, 34, and Colombians Maria Usme and Carolina Arias.

The tension between the two teams was intense from the opening whistle to the end, with the USWNT taking the lead early in the first half.
At one point, Rodman, a forward for the Washington Spirit, was seen telling Colombian forward Linda Caicedo: “Back” while talking to the referee.
U.S. captain Lindsey Horan scored the first goal on a penalty kick, followed by defender Jenna Neiswonger’s second goal for the United States.
19-year-old sensation Jadyn Shaw scored the third and winning goal of the semi-final encounter.
Goaltender Alyssa Neher earned her 100th career cap and earned her 61st career shutout, becoming the third U.S. goaltender to reach the milestone with numerous saves. Per US Soccer.
The USWNT will face Concacaf rival Canada in the Gold Cup semifinals on Wednesday at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.
It will air on Paramount+, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes at 10:15pm ET/8:15pm PT.
In the other semi-final, Brazil will face off against Mexico.
