Alex Soros lashes out at radical climate group over ‘Palestine’ obsession: ‘We gave them money’

Alex Soros, the son of infamous billionaire George Soros and chairman of the Open Society Foundation, set his sights on left-wing climate groups, saying, “All they’re doing is talking about Palestine.”

In an interview with New York magazine, Soros detailed plans to fund efforts to block the Trump administration’s agenda, and expressed his dissatisfaction with the Sunrise Movement, a left-wing environmentalist group that is heavily funded by the Soros organization.

“By the way, what did they do?” Soros, the Jew, complained. “We gave them money, and all they do now is talk about Palestine. That’s ridiculous.”

During the 2020 election season, the Sunrise movement stated that it “want to force the government to end the era of fossil fuel elites.” I received almost a third A total of $750,000 of funds from the Democratic PAC in charge of Soros and the 16-year-old 30 fund.

Shortly after receiving these funds, Sunrise stepped into the massive controversy sparked by Washington, D.C., and posted an anti-Semitic statement that it vowed to boycott an event co-hosted by a “Zionist” Jewish group.

In an October 2021 statement on “future coalition space with Zionist organizations,” Sunrise DC said it refused to attend meetings at DC State University, particularly as it encompasses the Jewish Council, the Jewish Council of Women and the Centre for Reform’s Religious Action.

Sunrise DC called Israel a “colonial project” that “treats all Palestinians, black and brown Jews and Israelis as second-class citizens.” The group asked event organizers to remove the Jewish group from participation, saying the DC movement was “incompatible with Zionism.”

The statement was quickly condemned as blatantly anti-Semitism.

A user named Blake Freighton, a Jewish podcaster, called out the group, commenting, “You’re intentionally pushing Jews out of movement.”

“You are linking American Jews to Israel’s actions,” Freighton added. “This is anti-Semitic. You are anti-Semitic.”

In a follow-up post published days later, Sunrise DC apologised for selecting three Jewish organizations, although it did not mention any other groups associated with the event “in similar positions.” The group doubled its stance on Zionism, calling it “an ideology that led to Palestinians being pushed hard from their homes since 1948.”

The group said it is “working on learning and growth as it continues to oppose Zionism, anti-Semitism, anti-Palestinian racism and all other forms of oppression.”

The post is also widely panned as anti-Semitism, with a user named Joel Petrin commenting that Sunrise is “trying to get out of the hole they’ve digged deeper into it.”

“*I apologize for selecting three Jewish organizations when we should have chosen everyone who did not hate Israel.

This October, the Sunrise Movement was published for a long time. Instagram posts The railing against Israel says, “Climate justice means freedom for the Palestinians.”

“Why? Continuous Israeli bombing will harm the climate and ultimately hurt us all, as the continued oppression of Palestinians in Israel means they will suffer from some of the most devastating effects of climate change,” the Sunrise movement continued. “While committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, Israeli forces, backed by the US and armed, have released more carbon emissions than 20 of the world’s most climatic nations.

Democrats and left-wing leaders have long cited criticism of the Hungarian-born Jewishman George Soros, the anti-Semitic attacks. But the Soros family’s funding for progressive anti-Israel agitators around the country, including those mobilized at Columbia University in New York City, has raised eyebrows as well.
