Attacks on former President Donald Trump have reached a whole new level in the form of an assassination attempt.
A gunman positioned on a roof about 150 yards north of the former president opened fire while he was speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening.
Thankfully, he missed.
The gunman, later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired multiple shots but missed his intended target – one bullet instead grazed Trump’s ear.
Trump initially crouched down but then quickly rose and Secret Service agents surrounded him and began escorting him off the stage.
Trump yelled “Wait!” before pumping his fist in the air.
It will be remembered as one of the most historic scenes in American history.
That President Trump survived the assassination attempt was an undeniable fact for anyone watching, yet the mainstream media jumped on the story and refused to portray it correctly.
One CNN headline read, “Secret Service ushers Trump off stage after fall at rally.”
Alex Stein The creators of “Primetime with Alex Stein” aren’t pleased with the network’s initial response.
“That’s awful,” Stein responded to the headline, noting that no one was prepared for a situation like this, not even the Secret Service agents themselves.
“When they play the video, they’re like, ‘Oh my goodness? What do I do?'” Stein said, adding, “They have protocols and procedures to follow, but they still don’t know what to do. Should they lift him up? Should they rush him in an ambulance? They’re still confused about what to do.”
Stein, who was in Tampa with his girlfriend at the time of the shooting, stopped to ask dozens of people their reaction to the assassination attempt on President Trump.
Strangely, most of them either didn’t notice or refused to talk.
“Are you guys happy that Trump got shot?” Stein asked, confused as to why no one was responding.
“Trump got shot with a BB gun,” yelled a man passing by.
“No,” Stein replied.
