Alexa Bliss discusses pursuing tag titles alongside Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2025

A New Chapter for Alexa Bliss at Summerslam

It’s been almost four years since Alexa Bliss stepped into a Summerslam match.

This time around, the WWE star is joining forces with Charlotte Flair to face off against Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The partnership between Bliss and Flair really took shape after Flair’s loss to Tiffany Stratton at Wrestlemania 41. Recently, Flair helped Bliss during an intense moment in their bout against Zaria.

Both superstars are aiming to channel their competitive spirit into winning the title.

“It’s been exciting since I joined SummerSlam,” Bliss shared in a recent chat. “I haven’t participated in a tag team match in a while, so this is thrilling. Charlotte and I have a unique history, and our dynamics really shine in the ring.”

Flair, open about her experiences and the harsh criticisms she has faced, recently shared her feelings in a player’s tribune message, reflecting on her match with Stratton.

When asked what wrestling fans might not know about Flair, Bliss remarked, “They know she’s passionate about the business, but she genuinely loves everything about it. She cares about the fans and the craft. Sometimes, people forget that the characters we portray don’t fully reflect who we are. Online, it gets tough because we face quite a bit of negativity—that’s just part of the job.”

Facing Bliss and Flair are Rodriguez and Perez, members of the Judgment Day faction. Perez has really made a mark since entering the main roster, especially after stepping in as Rodriguez’s partner when Liv Morgan got injured.

Bliss praised Perez’s recent performances, saying, “We have so much young talent, and Roxanne truly stands out. It was enjoyable to work alongside her during our match. It’s fascinating how our team dynamics can change. She really knows how to engage the crowd.”

As Summerslam approaches, it’s clear that tensions and anticipations are mounting, especially with the event scheduled to unfold at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, this Saturday and Sunday.
