Alexa Grasso defeats Maycee Barber by knockout in Seattle

UFC Seattle: Alexa Grasso Scores Brutal Knockout

Alexa Grasso showcased an impressive performance at UFC Seattle, landing one of the most brutal knockouts of 2026. In the co-main event, she faced off against Macy Barber, a matchup anticipated to be closely contested given both fighters’ standings in the flyweight division.

With about 2:30 remaining in the fight, Grasso landed a flurry of punches, dodging Barber’s attempts with agility. A swift one-two combination sent Barber to the mat, and Grasso seized the moment, executing a rear-naked chokehold that secured her victory by knockout.

This win marked Grasso’s 17th career victory and her first since defeating Valentina Shevchenko via submission in March 2023. It was her initial fight since a unanimous decision loss to Natalya Silva back in May 2025.

Although Barber was taken to the hospital, she managed to leave the Octagon on her own.

Following the fight, Barber reflected on the experience, expressing on Instagram, “It’s not our night…this is a fighting game and sometimes things don’t go our way. No blame, no excuses… just a lesson. We learn, we grow, and we come back stronger. God is always good.”

UFC president Dana White commented on Grasso’s performance, calling it one of the “greatest games in the history of the sport.” He noted, “It was unbelievable.”

As for what lies ahead for Grasso, it’s uncertain whether she will challenge for the flyweight title soon, especially with Shevchenko holding the belt and Silva being considered a top contender to take her place.
