Alexander Zverev and Karen Khachanov odds, prediction: ATP Toronto tennis forecast

Alexander Zverev is set to face Karen Kachanov in the semi-finals of the 2025 Canadian Masters this Wednesday evening.

Zverev, who holds the top seed position—thanks to the absence of Carlos Alkaraz and Giannik Sinner—enters the match as the -250 favorite. Kachanov, on the other hand, is seeking his first Master 1000 title since 2018.

Historically, Zverev has a 5-2 lead in their matchups, and he stands at 3-1 against Kachanov on outdoor hard courts.

ATP Toronto Semi-Finals: Zverev vs. Kachanov Odds

Player Odds
Alexander Zverev -250
Karen Kachanov +200

It might seem a bit harsh to stack him against Sinner and Alkaraz, but given Zverev’s rank as the top seed, I’d expect him to have a smoother path to this stage, especially since he had a couple of back-to-back losses before arriving in Canada.

Interestingly, Zverev has dropped the first set in two of his last three matches, and in one of those, his opponent, Francisco Cerundolo, had to retire early.

While a win is still a win, I think that to consider supporting favorites at these odds, you’d want to see a more commanding display.

Then there’s Kachanov, who is quite concerning. His endurance is top-notch, and he possesses that crafty style that can disrupt anyone’s rhythm.

Kachanov looks strong going into the semi-finals, having won four out of his last 13 matches. He’s had some tough times in head-to-head matches against top-10 players this year, but his current form suggests he might just pull something off.
