Alix Earl tearfully expressed her regret over a cosmetic procedure she wishes she hadn’t undergone. In a heartfelt video shared on TikTok, the influencer disclosed that she got a veneer shortly after finishing university.
“I hesitated to post about it because I felt regret immediately and didn’t want to inadvertently lead others to make a decision I think they should reconsider,” she shared.
Earl mentioned feeling self-conscious about not having front veneers, which contrasted with her otherwise good dental health. She recalled a childhood bike accident that led to damaged teeth, but noted that after using Invisalign, her smile was quite nice. “They looked great, but I didn’t wear my retainers, and they shifted a bit over time,” she explained.
After getting some traction on social media and earning a bit of money, she decided to get veneers for just her side incisors. However, her dentist suggested that all six of her front teeth, plus four additional ones, should also have veneers to create a more uniform smile.
“I went in for two teeth and, basically, left with ten,” she remarked, clearly bewildered by the outcome. “I didn’t intend for that at all.” She admitted that discussing this experience brought her to tears, admitting it was a scary decision that felt impulsive.
Earl confessed that, normally, she doesn’t have many regrets, but she’d definitely choose not to undergo the dental work if given the chance. She apologized to fans for not addressing her dental changes earlier and emphasized that it wasn’t her intention to conceal anything. “It’s not like I tried to hide it; I just never spoke about it because of the regret I felt,” she said.
She encouraged viewers to embrace their natural teeth, suggesting, “If you’re contemplating any dental changes, consider this your sign not to go for it. Natural teeth are beautiful, and every imperfection tells a story.” Concluding her video with a smile, showing her missing front teeth, she expressed her genuine appreciation for her unique look, stating, “I think it’s fun.”
Earl has also been open about other cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation.
