Actress Alix Wilton Regan Criticizes Lindsay Clancy Trial on Social Media

Alix Wilton Regan recently expressed her thoughts on social media regarding the trial of Lindsay Clancy, calling it a sexist “Salem” witch hunt. In her Instagram Story, she remarked, “A trial built on one man’s word. A mistrial delivered by another man’s ego. Salem never left Massachusetts.”

In another post, she commented on Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, stating, “I don’t think Kevin Reddington will ever fully understand what he has done for mothers watching this. There are women all over the world seeing a man stand in that courtroom and fight for something they once begged people in their own lives to take seriously.”

This commentary comes amid a serious murder case where Lindsay Clancy, a mother from Massachusetts, is accused of killing her three children by strangulation.

Another of Regan’s Instagram Stories included a provocative image of a man groping a statue, accompanied by the phrase, “Not all men, but always a man.”

One social media user shared her posts on Reddit, sharing their disappointment: “Alix Wilton Regan is the new actress for Lara Croft, and over the last few days she’s shown that she’s a lunatic on her Instagram. I was really hyped for this game, now I’m questioning that.”

Regan, known for her role as Susannah Castleman in the 2017 film The Wife, is set to voice Lara Croft in the upcoming video games “Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis” and “Tomb Raider: Catalyst.”

On a related note, Judge William Sullivan recently declared a mistrial in the Clancy case after a jury couldn’t reach a unanimous verdict, with one male juror holding out against the majority of eleven members who favored a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity. The jury, comprising nine women and three men, deliberated for over 36 hours over seven days.

Clancy has admitted to the deaths of her children—5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan—in 2023 at their home in Duxbury, but has claimed that postpartum psychosis impaired her understanding of her actions.
