Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell lift Fever to tough win over Dream

The Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream 91-84 on Thursday night behind solid performances from Aaliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

Despite the Fever leading by as many as 18 points at one point, the Dream mounted a strong comeback in the fourth quarter behind a couple of 3-pointers from Rhyne Howard. Atlanta led 82-81 with 3:11 left but only managed to score two points after that.

Boston, the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year, had her best game of the season, scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while Mitchell finished with 24 points, two assists, two rebounds and two steals, along with three 3-pointers.

Caitlin Clark had a quiet night for the Fever, as she scored seven points and made just 3 of 11 field goals. She also had seven turnovers.

Howard scored 26 points for Atlanta, making six 3-pointers to tie the WNBA record of seven, and also shot 7-of-15 from the field to go with two rebounds and two steals.

Atlanta forward Cheyenne Parker Tyus had 18 points, six rebounds and five assists in the game.

The Fever are 4-10 on the season and have won three of their last five games heading into a tough matchup against the Chicago Sky at noon ET on Sunday.

The Dream are 5-6 and have lost four of their last five games. Atlanta will host the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday.
