ABC News legal analyst Sunny Hostin said on ABC's “The View” on Wednesday that all Democrats should have left during their speech at President Donald Trump's Congressional joint session.
Hostin said: “I wasn't seeing that, but I was looking for signs of the opposition party. Resistance is passive, so it's not resistance. Opposition is active. I think what I saw when Rep. Al Green stood up and said “I have no obligation to take Medicaid” was thrown out.
She said, “That's the energy we need. They should have been standing with him in solidarity. Karine Jean-Pierre was here on this show yesterday and she said that we need to have a sense of urgency as we move forward. This is not normal. It's a five-alarm fire and what I want to say to the Democrats is that you can't play the rules in the party that abandoned the rulebook. You can't do that.”
