Insiders traced Payne's troubles back to the times of the pandemic.

“[Liam] It wasn't recorded. He wasn't on tour,” the individual told Rolling Stone.

“It was like taking people with mental health issues, sexuality issues, and likely already with drug issues, and all he was busy with. Recordings, tours, interviews, etc. – and he's just left with his problems. And Maya was just like being captured. She's like Ronnie Spector, a Phil Spector home. She can't do anything,” the insider said.

Sources say Henry discovered she was pregnant in 2020, and Payne responded by giving her an ultimatum.

“Liam sent Maya a long message to him that he would either have an abortion and be with him or raise a child alone.

“This was a surprise to Maya because Liam wanted to have a family, so they worked hard for their children,” the source continued. Henry eventually proceeded with an abortion, the outlet reported.

“Babysitter [Liam] I was tired. Maya helped and stayed with Liam's side for years.

The source continued. “It was normal for Liam to do cocaine, ketamine, MDMA and medications (Xanax and painkillers). Then he smoked heroin.” (Related: Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy reveals details you've never heard before in her first interview since his death)
