Here's what we know about the assassination attempt on President Trump in Florida.

In social media posts, Rouse, 58, claimed he supported Donald Trump in his first presidential election in 2016 but later became disillusioned after his chosen candidate won.

“@realDonaldTrump In 2106 you were my choice [sic]”I and the world had hoped for President Trump to be a different, better man than the candidate and we have all been sorely disappointed. You seem to be getting worse and degenerating. Are you an idiot? I would be glad to see you go,” Rouse said. Tweeted June 11, 2020.

Other posts from the now-suspended account show it supported Gabbard over Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in the 2020 Democratic primary.

During the 2024 Republican primary, Routh posted in support of biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
