Allisha Gray racks in $115K with historic WNBA All-Star Weekend

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably never had a better Friday night than Alisha Gray.

The Atlanta Dream star narrowly beat Liberty’s Jonquel Jones to win both the Skills Challenge and the 3-Point Contest as part of WNBA All-Star Weekend, which culminates with a Team USA vs. Team WNBA game on Saturday night at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

Gray won $110,000 from Aflac for winning both tournaments, but she also took home an additional $2,575 for each win from the league, bringing Gray’s winnings to $115,150, more than 62 percent of her total earnings. Salary for 2024 season is $185,000It was her seventh WNBA championship.

Gray, a second-straight All-Star selection, is averaging 15.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

She was the fourth overall draft pick out of the University of South Carolina and won Rookie of the Year in 2017.

Gray will play for the WNBA team on Saturday night in Paris against a U.S. team preparing to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics, along with Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
