Alvin Bragg Is Guilty of ‘Trying to Frame’ Trump

Sen. Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was guilty of trying to frame former President Donald Trump.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “I want to ask you about closing arguments in the New York criminal trial, which is scheduled for Tuesday. The jury could reach a verdict on 34 felony charges later this week. I know you’ve been critical of the prosecutors and the judge, but this case will ultimately be decided by 12 private citizens. Do you have confidence that the jury will reach a fair verdict?”

“I believe he will be acquitted as no crime was committed,” Scott said. “The only person found guilty in court is District Attorney Bragg – guilty of corrupting the justice system, of dereliction of duty and of attempting to frame an innocent man. It is this duplicitous justice system that has many Americans concerned about the fairness of our country.”

“But let me be clear: Do you have confidence in the jury system and in particular in these 12 ordinary Americans who will ultimately decide the case?” Bash said.

“I’m told that area of Manhattan is 96 percent Democrat, so I hope they make the right decision. I think he’ll be acquitted,” Scott said.
