“Are you racist?” James asked sarcastically.
“Well, I'm white, right?” Walsh said, adding, “The answer is automatically yes.”
“As we continue our journey [of discovering your inherent racism]”Otherwise you're just going to feel worse and worse about yourself,” he says. “That's really the goal. You have to hate yourself more and more with each passing day.”
“The real program is to make millions of people so depressed, hopeless and self-loathing that it makes it a lot easier to control them, right?” James asks.
“Exactly,” Walsh said, noting that while the documentary is technically a comedy, it also highlights a societal tragedy.[Progressives’] The purpose is to create resentment, self-loathing, and doubt. [and] “Guilt” is because “all these things are of great advantage to them.”
“Their core message is simple: if you're white, you're the villain of the story, the great villain of history, with much to be ashamed of and to make amends for, but which you can never truly make amends for. … If you fall into any category other than white — and this is, of course, a very large category — you're automatically a victim, oppressed, with no control over your life, no agency, no real autonomy. … This is a very demoralizing and dehumanizing message for everyone.”
Unfortunately, “particularly over the last decade, they've been very effective in pursuing that goal,” Walsh laments.
“What do you need to get it back?” James asks.
“At this point, I think what we need at the end of the day is basically to leave people alone. I don't know that we need conflicting messages about racism. … We don't need to talk about racism all the time,” Walsh said, pointing to his famous “60 Minutes” interview with Morgan Freeman in which he advised people to stop talking about racism.
