Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said the American people will speak about Trump’s verdict on November 5th. Breitbart News Daily The day after a Manhattan jury found former President Donald Trump guilty on all 34 charges in the business records case.
“The public will have a chance to have a say in this case in November,” Blackburn said, explaining that it was vital for Americans to get their neighbors out to the polls and make their voices heard.
“In the last election, we heard a lot about the 30 million evangelical Christians who are not registered to vote. They need to register and go to the polls and vote. If they love freedom, if they love opportunity, if they love the American dream, now is the time to kick into gear,” she said.
So hug them now [Democrats] “Accountability, speaking up, deferring to public opinion, standing up and saying ‘We the People’ — that’s where the pressure comes from,” she said, noting that the Founding Fathers wrote “the people” with a capital “p.”
“The power is vested in the people, not in the government. That’s why November 5th is so important. That’s why we’re going to put the pressure on Democratic senators and representatives and ask them: ‘Do you support Joe Biden and his weaponization of the government?'” [is so important]” she exposed the corrupt practices.
“Think about it, Mike, the number three man in the Department of Justice left the Department of Justice, rushed to New York, worked with Alvin Bragg and became the lead prosecutor on this campaign. Now, can someone with a straight face say he invented this case and decided what to do?” she asked, adding that the verdict was probably predetermined.
“And Joe Biden said he’s going to speak after the verdict is in. Do you think he would have done so if he thought Donald Trump would be acquitted or there would be a split verdict? Of course not. This has been fair from the start. It’s been a witch hunt,” she said, explaining that Democrats still haven’t gotten over the fact that Trump ruined their plans by beating Hillary Clinton in 2016.
“Donald Trump thwarted their plans,” she said, adding that “government cannot be used as a weapon against individuals.”
“Since the Clinton administration, this administration has become more brazen and bold. If you look at what the Democrats did under Clinton, you see a two-tiered justice system that used the government as a weapon against their opponents. The same thing happened under Obama. Look at what the IRS did to conservative groups under Obama. Look at how brazen and brazen this administration has become with a two-tiered justice system and how the Biden family is being treated and compare that to how the Trump family and conservatives are being treated,” she added.
