Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton threw her support behind Kilmar Abrego Garcia, accused of the MS-13 gang, who was deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration.
“Before the election, I warned that there are no safe shelters under authoritarianism,” the former Secretary of State wrote in the X-Post Wednesday.
“If they can ship Kilmer Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison, there’s no crime, no trial, and anyone can do it,” Clinton continued. “Americans of conscience must now oppose this.”
Abrego Garcia, 29, lived in Maryland with his wife, an American citizen who illegally entered the United States at the age of 16 and accused her of physically abusing her in 2021.
According to court documents shared online by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Jennifer Vazquez Sula sought a protection order after her husband was told she punched her, scratched her and tore her clothes.

On suspicion of abuser, DHS reported that Abrego Garcia was arrested with “cash and drug rolls” along with “two other members of MS-13.”
