Americans are overwhelmingly opposed to funding transgender sex-change drugs and surgeries, a new poll shows.
Cygnal votes and first from the American Principles Project Get Daily Wire has shown that 66% of Americans say federal tax dollars should not be directed towards gender measurements such as surgery, adolescent blockers, and crosshormones.
The research found that the issue is losing to Democrats. Polls revealed that 52% of American voters will vote for Republicans against Democratic candidates if they find that Democratic candidates support taxpayer-funded sexual change.
“Democrats initially received a one-point lead in the vote in the 2026 Congressional mid-term vote, but when pollers were notified of tax-backed Democrats to pay the ‘gender transition’ procedure, the electors moved 14 points to Republican candidates,” according to the poll report.
The survey found that a large number of Democrats (42%) and Kamala Harris voters (43%) agree that taxes should not be directed towards gender changes.
Women tend to lean Democrats, but 6-6 responds that they don’t want taxpayer-funded sexual change. That sentiment is shared by a majority of Black and Hispanic Americans, parents, unmarried Americans, and urban and suburban voters.
“This poll is evidence of what we have known for a long time. – The majority of Americans don’t want taxes to be spent on gender transitions,” App President Terry Schilling told the outlet in a statement.
“We are pleased that President Trump has already begun to take action on this popular common sense policy, but it’s time for Congress to permanently ban federal funds for gender transition,” Schling added.
