Trump Promises Historic July 4th Air Show in D.C.

On Friday, President Trump declared that America will witness an unprecedented air show in Washington, D.C. on July 4th, calling it the “largest” in U.S. history.

“The Fourth of July air show over our nation’s great capital will be the largest ever,” he stated, adding that there would be “hundreds of aircraft of different types, sizes, and speeds” on display. The show is scheduled to run from 1:15 pm to 11:30 pm.

Additionally, he mentioned he would deliver a speech at 9 pm ET before the fireworks, which he claimed would be “about 10 times bigger than any fireworks show in our country’s history.”

“If you like airplanes, fireworks, and me, come visit us!” he encouraged.

Earlier this month, he hinted at a special celebration for the Fourth of July, marking a significant anniversary for the nation. He described “A Tribute to America,” a grand rally at the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, aimed at honoring “our people, our spirit, our strength, and our victories.”

The president envisioned a performance featuring over 300 military bands and orchestras, all set against the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial. He promised a mix of patriotic tunes and personal favorites, asserting it would be the “largest joint military musical and ceremonial performance in history.”

As for the fireworks? Trump emphasized they would cap off the event, touting it as the largest display ever in the capital. “Don’t miss it. See you in D.C. on July 4th.”

In D.C., festivities have already kicked off, with the Great American State Fair commencing this week. One highlight included a historic high-altitude flight, where a pilot shared a cockpit video with heartfelt thanks to the nation.

“Thank you, America, for all that has been and is,” he expressed. The pilot also reflected on his past connections, saying, “My college roommate, Joe Pitts, helped me with this. God bless America.”
