Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Lions performs the 'Trump Dance' after scoring a touchdown

Amon-Ra St. Brown certainly knows how to engage his fans.

During the game against the Commanders on Sunday, the Lions’ standout wide receiver performed the “Trump Dance,” with former President Donald Trump in the stands at Northwest Stadium.

This celebration followed a 9-yard touchdown catch from Jared Goff, which pushed the Lions’ lead to 14-3 as the first quarter was winding down.

After crossing the goal line, St. Brown celebrated by pointing to a section of the crowd and dancing alongside three teammates before returning to the sidelines.

The game took place in Landover, Maryland, where Trump was present to partake in the NFL’s “Salute” honoring veterans.

He watched the action from a suite, joined by key members of his Cabinet, including Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

During the game, Trump made an appearance on Fox NFL coverage, chatting with Kenny Albert and Jonathan Burma for roughly eight and a half minutes.

Notably, Trump is the first sitting president since 1978 to attend a regular-season NFL game, joining the ranks of Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter.

Earlier this year, he also became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, watching the Eagles defeat the Chiefs 40-22.

The “Trump dance” gained traction during the 2024 presidential campaign, with various athletes incorporating the iconic moves throughout the previous year.

Last November, Lions defenders Malcolm Rodriguez and Za’Darius Smith were among those to pull off the dance, along with 49ers lineman Nick Bosa and Raiders tight end Brock Bowers showing off the moves last season.
