Amy Robach says she’s ‘chosen’ to love T.J. Holmes amid ‘pressure’

An emotional Amy Robach said she “chose” to love T.J. Holmes despite the “pressures” her former career put on her.

“We've always worked together, but it's a whole different thing to work under this kind of pressure…the pressure is so great,” Robach said on Tuesday's show. “Amy and TJ” Podcast.

Robach clarified that he doesn't feel “public pressure” to stay with the former GMA3 anchor, but rather because of his career, which was “unjustly taken away” after their affair.

“I know you well enough and have spent enough time with you to know how I felt,” she went on to say to Holmes. Ta.

“And sometimes love is a choice, but when it's hard, it's more than just a feeling. Desire is a feeling, but I believe love is a choice, and I chose to love you.”

The former broadcast journalist wants to return to the airwaves with her boyfriend, but told Mr Holmes, 46, that their relationship would break up if she “chose” him and want to be with him. He said he would be “devastated” if he did.

Robach, 50, and Holmes officially left ABC in January 2023 after they were photographed having an affair, which the network deemed a “distraction.”

When the scandal first broke, the network launched an investigation into the nature of their relationship and discovered that Holmes had allegedly been romantically involved with three other employees. The employees, married producer Natasha Singh and script coordinator Jasmine Pettaway, are alleged to have had sex in the office. Another young staff member.

A year after the cheating scandal broke, Holmes and Robach have broken their silence about the affair allegations.

“To be clear, we were exposed as being in a relationship, but other people thought we were being exposed as adulterers, that our spouses were cheating.'' But in reality, that wasn't the case.” Holmes said this on a December episode of his and Robach's podcast.

“We were both in the process of divorce at that point.”

Robach agreed, arguing that they “have lawyers and mediators.” [and] I was in the middle of a divorce. ”

“Relationships are difficult, messy, and not perfect,” Robach says. “We have fought for love and I can say I have never been happier. I am with my best friend.”
