An earthquake shook the entire island of Taiwan early Wednesday, causing buildings to collapse in the southern city and a tsunami warning to be issued for Japan’s southern islands.
Videos and images on social media showed buildings being thrown off their foundations.
The U.S. Geological Survey puts the earthquake’s magnitude at 7.5, while Taiwan’s earthquake monitoring agency puts it at 7.2.
