Tennis players Anastasia Potapova and Taron Griekspur seem to be enjoying a holiday together in the Maldives, as seen in recent posts on Instagram.
They both have uploaded numerous pictures and videos lately, with many followers noting the shared settings and activities captured in their posts.
One of Potapova’s photos, albeit a bit blurry, features her with a man, who is believed to be Griekspur, standing behind her through a glass door.
Recently, both athletes posed for a photo in the same hammock, each holding a blue and yellow pillow, further fueling speculations about their relationship.
On Monday, Potapova shared a video of herself enjoying a ride on a jet ski, driven by a man whose face she didn’t reveal.
“How’s Monday?🤪🥹🐬🩵,” she captioned the post.
The pair has also exchanged flirty comments on each other’s vacation posts, which excited many fans. Tennis player Elena Vesnina chimed in, adding a heart-eyed emoji.
In one of Griekspur’s posts, he humorously wrote, “Looking for Magikarp and Gyarados.” Potapova playfully responded with, “Please find Zuzy first,” coupled with a laughing and turtle emoji.
The two made headlines before this vacation; they were seen supporting Potapova at several tennis events earlier this year.
Previously, Potapova was married to Alexander Shevchenko until their divorce late last year, following their split after the 2024 U.S. Open. They had announced their relationship in 2022 and tied the knot in December 2023.
Addressing her marriage, Potapova mentioned in January, “I made a surprisingly big decision at the end of the year. But like I said, that’s life. Unfortunately, things like that happen, and you have to accept that. Of course, I’m very disappointed that everything went the way it went.”
She added, “I really wish ‘Sasha.’ I can say this in front of the camera, but I’m not ashamed to say this. I really wish him the best; he deserves it and has to continue to work as a player.”
Potapova confirmed that she wanted to “officially end it” after facing repeated questions about their relationship throughout the 2024 season.
She last competed in October, reaching the round of 16 at the China Open. Meanwhile, Griekspur, currently ranked 25th in the world, withdrew from the Moselle Open last week due to a lower back injury.
