President Donald Trump's border emperor Tom Homan says the federal government's policy of providing birthright citizenship to illegal foreign US-born children known as “anchor baby” is “a more illegal immigrant magnet.”
During a panel discussion this week at New College, Florida, Homan was asked about the impact of the government's birthright citizenship policy and how the Supreme Court should control the issue.
“Well, I say this: it's a seduction, it's a magnet for more illegal immigration,” Homan said.
In particular, Homan pointed to a massive influx of illegal alien family units that have arrived under the Obama administration.
“…We had hundreds of family units removed by judges. The Obama administration approved this and ordered us to expel them. We went looking for them. 44% of these family units, mothers, already had US citizen children or were pregnant with US citizen children,” Homan revealed.
Despite all the hatred there, people are attacking this, It is the driving force behind illegal immigration. [Emphasis added]

Trump as one of his first executive orders Ended A national birthright citizenship policy that gives US-born children US citizenship to illegal foreigners. Now, the case is heading to the Supreme Court for decision.
Homan said it was important for the Supreme Court to “determine the right way” on the issue.
“I think the Supreme Court will finally need to answer that question. Now, I'm not a lawyer, but I can read. I don't think it's clear that illegal foreigners with children in this country are automatically US citizens,” he said.
Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) Submit Amicus' summary of the case states that the 14th amendment is clear in that birthright citizenship was never intended to be an illegal alien US-born child.
“The court held that only children born in the United States would be citizens at birth under the Civil Rights Clause of the 14th Amendment to parents who were permitted to reside in the United States at the time,” Iruli's lawyer wrote to the Supreme Court.
Researchers at the Center for Immigration Research estimate Approximately 225,000-250,000 anchor babies are delivered to illegal alien parents every year. This accounts for approximately 7% of all US births in 2023.
