Archeologists have recently found an ancient Roman helmet in the rare place, Denmark Village.
VEJLE MUSEUMS announced many ancient artifacts, including Rome's armor, in a press release released on January 29. In the fall, excavation was held in the town of Løsning.
The statement explained that the archeologist noticed “two unusual iron plates” during the excavation and was not sure what they were at first.
“At first glance, it was unknown what these plates belong,” said Vejle Museums. “But using X -ray imaging, parents and archeologists could see them under a thick rust -covered layer.

“As a result, a very rare discovery became clear. It is a Roman helmet archeological site.”
This is when the ancient Roman helmet was first discovered in Denmark. According to the press release, the two plates are “composed of neckguards and decorated cheek guards from the so -called crest helmet, which are used in the 4th century Roman Empire.”

“In the southern part of Scandinavia, Roman helmets from the ironware era are very rare, and there is no direct similarity to this discovery,” said the officials.

Archeologists analyze the deposits where weapons have been buried to determine if burial is significant.
