Andrew Cabot speaks up about his divorce from Kristin Cabot, the woman involved in the Coldplay kiss-cam incident.

Andrew Cabot, husband of astronomer Kristin Cabot, shared his thoughts on their divorce following a well-publicized moment at a Coldplay concert where she was seen sharing a kiss with former CEO Andy Byron.

The 52-year-old, who leads New England Distillery Private Lamb, talked about their challenging relationship after Kristin officially filed for divorce last month.

He mentioned that the couple had been “personally and friendlyly separated” a few weeks prior to the concert, which adds some context to the situation.

“Their decision to divorce was already in motion before that incident,” he explained. “Now that the divorce news is out, Andrew hopes it will reduce any speculation and allow his family some much-needed privacy.”

He concluded, stating there will be no further public comments.

Kristin initiated divorce proceedings less than a month after being spotted with Byron during the concert in Boston.

Court documents reveal that the divorce was filed on August 13 in a Portsmouth, New Hampshire court.

While Andrew was away on a business trip in Japan during the concert, he wasn’t particularly pleased about the public display of affection until Kristin returned.

In a significant investment, Kristin had recently purchased a New England-style home for $2.2 million, just five months before the concert scandal unfolded.

This marks Andrew’s third divorce, and he has two children from a previous marriage.

Kristin was previously wed to Kenneth Thornby, from whom she divorced in 2022.

During the possibly uncomfortable concert encounter, Kristin and Byron found themselves unexpectedly on the “kiss cam” part of the show.

Moments after realizing they were on the large screen, Byron quickly retreated, while Kristin turned away, visibly embarrassed. In a moment of banter, Coldplay’s Chris Martin remarked on the situation, initially thinking it was an endearing display, but then expressed confusion about their reactions.

“They are either cheating or are very shy,” he joked, and then added, “Holy s-t. I hope we didn’t do anything wrong.”

It later came to light that Byron was married to Megan Kerrigan Byron.
