Andrew Cuomo reassures donors that he plans to stay involved amid rumors of another campaign.

He isn’t going anywhere!

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo confirmed he has no plans to move to Florida, addressing campaign donors amidst ongoing speculation regarding his potential political return.

In a letter shared with donors from his mayoral campaign, Cuomo stated, “The campaign may be over, but our job is not. I’m not going anywhere,” emphasizing his dedication to combating anti-Semitism and enhancing public safety.

This message follows a string of recent communications suggesting he might pursue another political role after his loss on November 4. There’s chatter that he could be eyeing a run for governor or Congress in the future.

Cuomo’s outreach drew immediate criticism, particularly from state Senator Gustavo Rivera, who made a harsh comparison, saying, “Andrew is basically the human incarnation of herpes. Just because you don’t see it right now doesn’t mean he’s gone!”

Another user echoed similar sentiments, questioning Cuomo’s relevance to New Yorkers: “New York doesn’t want you! Oh my god! What the hell is wrong with him?”

Speculation intensified when Cuomo appeared on WABC radio with former governor David Paterson, stating, “You can win cities as a socialist, but you can’t win states. You can’t win nationally as a socialist,” which added fuel to the fire regarding his future plans.

This shift in tone contrasts with his earlier comments made at a July breakfast in the Hamptons, where he jokingly hinted at moving to Florida if his opponent, Zoran Mamdani, won.

Cuomo’s press secretary, Rich Azzopardi, underscored that those earlier comments were meant in jest and took a jab at Rivera, noting that the senator had never garnered 900,000 votes and alluded to his questionable online interests.
