Andy Cohen addressed recent speculation regarding season 16 of The Real Housewives of New York City, confirming that the rumors about a hybrid cast are unfounded.
“It’s not true,” Cohen stated during the “Ask Andy” panel at BravoCon in Las Vegas when questioned by host Jeff Lewis.
He did, however, tease the upcoming season by saying, “New York is coming. It’s almost here.”
Cohen also indicated there would be more information released soon about the series, urging fans to stay tuned.
Although Bravo hasn’t officially revealed the casting details for the new season, a fan site reported that original cast members such as Sonya Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley, and Luann de Lesseps might join newer stars like Erin Ritchie, Cy de Silva, and Jessel Turnk.
There are also claims that two new cast members could be added to the mix.
The previous season concluded in February, featuring Turnk alongside Lissy, de Silva, Raquel Chevremont, Rebecca Minkoff, Uba Hassan, Bryn Whitfield, and Jenna Lyons.
Fans eagerly anticipate official news since the end of season 15.
Recently, de Silva expressed her desire to return to the show, calling her experience on The Real Housewives of New York a major moment in her life and affirming her connection to the city. “I would love to represent it,” she said.
During BravoCon, some audience members expressed their nostalgia for the original cast, highlighting their disappointment with the current lineup.
Cohen acknowledged this sentiment, reflecting on the series’ rich history and reiterating the importance of the original cast members, many of whom have transitioned to other places. “13 years of great series and we’re glad it happened,” he noted.
