Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) said Thursday that he would like to liken them to children and liken them to children and introduce a resolution to expel Democrats from their committee for violations of their courtesy during the vote to vote for Rep. Al Green (D-TX).
“Today, a House Democrat group broke politeness during the accusation of Rep. Al Greene and listened after multiple warnings. @speakerjohnson“Order,” Ogles wrote. “I am drafting a privileged resolution to remove each of them from the committee. If you want to act like a child in the halls of parliament, you will be treated like a child.”
“On Tuesday, President Trump issued one of the biggest speeches in American history in his speech to Congress,” he continued. “Today, the house passed a motion denounced Rep. Al Green. @potus Between his address. ”
He added: “We have to be accountable. Americans are better than petty, boy stunts in one of the government's most sacred rooms.”
The House voted Thursday to condemn Green for a devastating protest against President Donald Trump's speech to Congress on Tuesday.
The denunciation vote led to a crying match between Democrats and Republicans.
Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA) repeatedly said Democrats were “embarrassing,” saying Joyce Beatty (D-OH) and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) were the most vocal Democrats in verbal altercations.
Presley then told Rep. Dan Maser (R-PA) that “Your members are doing the same thing.”
