Andy Reid has no apparent recollection of Packers’ Jordan Love

Andy Reid was caught off guard by a question about Jordan Love and didn’t seem to immediately remember who he was.

At the NFL Owners’ Conference in Phoenix on Monday, the Chiefs’ head coach was asked about the Packers, who are estimated to start quarterback in 2023.

Love’s only career start came in November 2021 against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

“What did you think of Jordan Love in that quarter in the game he played against you two years ago?” a reporter asked Reed.

“Who’s that?” Reed responded, and the reporter repeated the name Jordan Love.

“I’m trying to remember Jordan Love,” Reed said with a blank look.

Love had 19 of 34 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Chiefs that day.

Recalling Love’s start against the Chiefs again, Reed said:

The Packers traded up to select Love with the 26th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he’s spent the past three seasons backing up Rodgers.

With all the signs pointing to the Packers parting ways with Rodgers this offseason, it would be Love’s chance to justify that choice.

Rodgers said he plans to play for the Jets this season.
