Angel Reese achieves her 9th consecutive double-double

Angel Reese’s Performance Against Minnesota Lynx

In a recent game, Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese achieved her ninth consecutive double-double during the second quarter against the Minnesota Lynx. This impressive feat pushed her team up by eight points, creating quite a buzz online.

It was an interesting moment toward the end of the first half when Reese attempted to pass the ball on the court, but it was intercepted by Lynx Guard Courtney Williams, who then assisted Bridget Carleton for a three-pointer.

Unfortunately for Chicago, they struggled overall, racking up 18 turnovers, and gave away 47 points in the second half. The game ended with a score of 91-78, marking another loss for the Sky, placing them at 7-14 for the season while the Lynx improved their record to 19-4.

Reese managed to lead her team with 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. It’s worth noting that the last time she didn’t manage a double-double was on June 21 when she had a mere nine points and two rebounds against the Phoenix Mercury.

Interestingly, Reese has been on a statistical surge lately, averaging around 13.6 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game this season. She is set to participate in her second All-Star Game this weekend in Indianapolis.

On the opposing side, Naphesa Collier, a regular candidate for the WNBA MVP, topped all scorers with 29 points, supported by Williams with 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. It’s clear that both teams showed up to play, but only one could come out on top.
