Angel Reese gets advice from Lisa Leslie on how her game can improve

Three-time WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie oversaw dull advice to Angel Reese in her recent sit-in with Chicago Sky Forward.

Leslie has joined the latest version of the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast lease. At one point in the conversation, WNBA legend answered a question about which part of the 2024 All-Star game could head to Season 2.

“The biggest advice I have for you is that you are the way you film your layup. We're going to fix it. It's fixable for you,” Leslie said. I answered.

The two-time WNBA champion pointed out some of Reese's strengths when she was in hardwoods.

“I think your shots from outside are improving. I love how good your ball handling is, your defense is improving. I'm sure you put defensive pressure on them. I love the fact that it was like that, and the only thing that you want to get it I love it.”

Leslie continued to praise Reese for her willingness to put the film in. She believes that in the end, Skystar will eventually be able to reach her potential.

“Listen to you, yes… yes 'I want to learn. I want to work hard. I want to be better, my heart melted,” added Leslie. “The fact that you already have that attitude, you will get better. And I can help you get better. I am positive.”

Reese provided a memorable rookie WNBA season as he broke many league records. Previous LSU standouts finished 15 times in a row with a double double, marking the longest game streak that players have achieved feats in league history.

Leased paint scoring efficiency was under some scrutiny as it advanced 42.2% of last season's layup attempts.

Reese averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 2024. Her overall field goal percentage was 39.1% last season.

Sky ended its 2024 campaign with a 13-27 record and failed to qualify for the WNBA postseason. The franchise parted ways with Theresa Weatherspoon and later named Tyler Marsh as the team's next head coach.

A clip posted to her Podcast InstagramReese said Weatherspoon's fire was “grief” about her.
