Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark will team up as WNBA All-Stars on Saturday night to take on the U.S. women’s basketball team at Footprint Center.
Reese and Clark have been involved in a growing on-court rivalry over the past two years, beginning with the 2023 national championship between Louisiana State University and the University of Iowa and continuing on the professional stage between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever.
It remains unclear if there’s any personal feud between the two, but Reese joked in an interview with ESPN on Friday that he plans to get along with Clark, at least “one day.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” Rees said. “At least for one day we’ll all be wearing our Get Along shirts together, so I know a lot of people will come and see us all, but we’ve got a lot of talent on both teams, so it should be a good game.”
Reese said she understands and is looking forward to fans packing the arena, home of the Phoenix Mercury, to watch her and Clark’s teammates.
Both players were first-time All-Stars and both were among the top vote-getters, with Clarke alone receiving more votes than the top 11 players from last season combined.

Clark said their success shows they can have a positive impact not just on women’s basketball, but on women’s sports as a whole.
“I don’t think this is unique to women’s basketball. If you look across the board in women’s sports, people are really committed and showing up to games,” Clark said. “Obviously, women’s basketball has been at the forefront of all sports, and rightly so. Whether it’s women’s college basketball, the WNBA, across the board, the talent level is really high.”
Both players were talented and made history: Clark set a WNBA record with 19 assists in a single game, while Reese set the record for most consecutive double-doubles in a single season.
The WNBA Rookie of the Year voting will likely be close until the very end, but fans will have to wait a few more weeks after the All-Star game to see both players compete.
