Angry Woman Spits On Ed Martin During Live Interview

Footage has captured a recent incident involving Ed Martin, who was set to represent the District of Columbia, during a live interview on Newsmax. The Trump administration had just revoked his appointment as the city’s top prosecutor.

During the broadcast, Martin was discussing the situation when a woman walking her dog interrupted him. In a reported video shared by Newsmax anchor Rob Schmitt, she shouted, “Who is F? You’re Ed Martin!” and then, perhaps out of anger, spat saliva at him.

While Martin was addressing the viewers on the “Chris Salcedo” show, he was reacting to his recent appointment withdrawal by President Donald Trump, as noted by various sources.

As the woman left, she reportedly called him a “nasty guy,” further adding to the chaotic moment.

This incident has prompted reactions, with Schmidt labeling the woman a “mental illness lib” and expressing hope she faces legal consequences. Others echoed this sentiment, suggesting she should be prosecuted for her actions.

Vince Koglian, a podcaster and editor, commented on the situation, claiming that authorities knew the woman’s identity and were ready to act. He noted that her recognition of Martin indicated she was intentionally targeting federal officials.

Martin’s nomination came under scrutiny from lawmakers concerned about his partisanship and lack of legal experience, ultimately leading Trump to withdraw it after Republican Senator Tom Tillis voiced his opposition. This was largely due to differing perspectives on Martin related to the January 6 riots.

Senator John Toon, the Senate majority leader, had indicated that he would not support Martin’s nomination, which could have jeopardized it in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Following the withdrawal, Trump appointed Jeanne Pillo, a former district attorney and Fox News host, to take over Martin’s role. Tillis expressed his approval of this choice.

Additionally, Trump has stated that Martin currently leads a Department of Justice working group focused on weaponization, serving as an Associate Deputy Attorney General.
