Ann-Margret’s Recovery After Fall
Ann-Margret, the iconic Hollywood figure, isn’t slowing down after a painful incident at home. Recently, she revealed that she fractured her right elbow in a fall but seems to be keeping a positive outlook on her recovery.
“I fell the other day and broke my right elbow,” she mentioned. “It’s okay. I’ve fallen many times. I don’t mean to, but it happens. What can I say?”
Still Riding Strong
At 84, she has had to cancel an autograph signing session while she heals, yet she is optimistic about her recovery. When asked if she feels better, she responded quickly, “Yes, I am. I am definitely on the mend!”
For many of her loyal fans, this incident might remind them of a more serious accident from her past. Back in 1972, Ann-Margret suffered a significant fall, dropping 22 feet during a performance, a terrifying event that could have dramatically altered her career.
Throughout an impressive 60-year career in Hollywood, Ann-Margret has left her mark in classics like “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Viva Las Vegas.” She’s garnered numerous accolades, including five Golden Globe Awards, an Emmy for “Law & Order: SVU,” and various Oscar and Grammy nominations along the way.
Off-screen, she’s made headlines too, such as traveling to Vietnam in the 1960s to entertain U.S. troops. Even now, in 2024, Ann-Margret embraces life with vigor. She shared her enduring love for motorcycles, proudly stating that she still rides a Harley-Davidson—a passion sparked during her childhood.
“It’s lavender with white daisies everywhere,” she explained to a magazine recently. “Flowers are decorated on the back and front fenders. I love speed. It’s not a drug.”
Her father played a pivotal role in her love for biking, reminiscing about a memorable childhood bike ride. “There’s no way I’ll forget that bike,” she reflected.
