Anna Camp Stands by Relationship with Jade Whipkey Amid Age Gap Criticism

Anna Camp, 42, recently responded to criticism regarding her relationship with 24-year-old Jade Whipkey, emphasizing that the 18-year age difference doesn’t define their connection. In an Instagram comment, she stated, “I date guys the same age as Jade, and she’s far more mature than any of them.”

The actress noted that they share more common interests than any of her previous partners. However, since publicly acknowledging their relationship last month, Camp has faced scrutiny for dating someone nearly two decades her junior.

Critics expressed skepticism, with one fan questioning whether they could truly relate due to such a significant age gap. Another remarked, “When you have that kind of age difference, it can imply an imbalance of power, even if unintended.” A third commenter simply stated, “No, this isn’t okay.”

Others, though, defended their relationship. One fan pointed out that unusual age gaps in relationships frequently don’t carry the same connotations as those among heterosexual couples. Another said, “She’s an adult. She can date whom she likes.”

Previously married to actors Michael Mosley and Skyler Astin, Camp revealed her relationship with Whipkey on TikTok earlier this year. To illustrate her dating experiences in the past, she recalled a date where her companion was notably late and how that led to her leaving early.

Reflecting on her current relationship with Whipkey, Camp remarked, “I’m not expecting much from guys anymore, especially since I’m dating a woman. And that’s perfectly fine.”
