Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is urging Congress to call billionaire George Soros to testify, arguing that he is linked to funding protests, advocating for globalist agendas, and undermining democracy in the United States. She’s got some support on this from fellow Representatives Wesley Hunt (R-TX) and Lisa McClain (R-MI), who voiced their agreement on a recent show.
During the show, host Benny Johnson asked Hunt if he would back Luna’s initiative to subpoena Soros. Hunt agreed enthusiastically, stating, “George Soros has been a matter of this country for a very long time and he has hampered our election.” He added that Soros has financially supported Democratic activities at local levels, claiming this has contributed to chaos in the nation.
When pressed about whether other lawmakers might join this effort, Hunt admitted he wasn’t sure of anyone else’s support but expressed his own readiness to pursue it. He seemed eager to expose Soros, saying, “We need to reveal him for who he is and what he did.”
McClain echoed this sentiment, appearing on the same program and affirming her support for a subpoena, saying, “Anna Paulina Luna is absolutely not wrong about that.” She also questioned why foreign actors would engage in disruptive activities, such as those seen during the LA Riots, suggesting further investigation is warranted.
After her interview, Luna referenced McClain’s statements online, indicating her desire to act on this matter: “Let’s get it done.” She proudly pointed out, “Why has Congress never summoned George Soros? Why am I the first to raise this?”
Luna had initially announced her intention to summon Soros back on June 12th, commenting that any future attempts by Democrats to call Elon Musk would prompt her to have a Soros subpoena ready.
In a follow-up appearance, Luna provided more context, noting that Soros aligns with individuals like Neville Singham, whom she called out as an apparent pro-China Marxist. Luna argued that both are working against Western values and the efforts of previous administrations.
Johnson asked Luna why Republicans haven’t already summoned Soros, implying a lack of assertiveness. Luna reflected, “I think this should have been done a long time ago. I’m just one member; I need more allies.”
She reiterated her view that Soros does not represent American beliefs, despite his citizenship. Drawing a metaphor from Star Wars, she described him as resembling “the lord of the Sith on the left.”
Luna is part of an oversight committee pressing for financial records and testimony from Neville Singham, who is accused of funding far-left groups to incite unrest, including violent protests that allegedly violate federal laws.
