Annika Sorenstam reflects on her moments with Caitlin Clark at the golf course

Kate Linklark Enjoys Time on the Golf Course

During the offseason, Kate Linklark, a player for the Indiana Fever, spent some time networking and honing her skills on the golf course. In November, she participated in the Pro-Am event at the Pelican Golf Club alongside Nelly Corda and Annika Sorenstam. Quite an impressive lineup, right?

After the Fever’s playoff exit, Linklark joked about her newfound passion for golf, mentioning how the team took up the sport during that time. It seems a little humorous, perhaps a way to cope with the situation.

In a recent chat, Sorenstam reflected on her time with Linklark on the course and admitted that meeting her made her even “a bigger fan.” She noted how committed great athletes are and highlighted Linklark’s sports background, suggesting it gives her an edge in understanding the game. Sorenstam expressed enthusiasm about introducing new talent into golf, enjoying the shared experiences and stories in the sport.

Linklark shared her commitment to practice whenever possible, citing a sense of hope, albeit tempered with a bit of realism. She laughed about a past quote that suggested she might be pursuing professional golf, saying she wasn’t quite serious at the time but definitely enjoys the game. It’s challenging, no doubt, but she looks forward to getting involved and having fun while improving her skills.

Meanwhile, Sorenstam is gearing up for the American Century Championship, set to take place at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Club next month, from July 9 to July 13. It’ll be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
