Another name for the Trump revolution is ‘return to sanity’

After Donald Trump's victory, we are witnessing a historic counter-revolution that is very different from the first election in 2016.

A future based on orthodoxy and a supposed script is now in doubt. And from the trivial to the existential, they are likely to be dethroned.

Critics say President Trump does not have the authority to launch such a counterrevolution. They claim he neither won 51% of the popular vote nor achieved a Reaganesque landslide in the Electoral College.

But all the initiatives he promoted, which received overwhelming support in opinion polls, garnered public support.

Despite being subject to Democratic laws for years, a defiant President Trump has promised to open borders and end mass illegal immigration, rising crime and soaring prices. He promised to dismantle the government and its administrative state, end racial and gender identity politics, and restore deterrence abroad.

People overwhelmingly wanted those messages, but they were waiting for an unconventional messenger to actually deliver them.

Trump's messengers reassured a weary nation that they were not crazy.

On the contrary, they had good reason to be tired of being scorned by media, academics, bureaucrats, and political elites who had never earned or deserved such a self-proclaimed status.

What was truly out of control was not the large crowds that gathered at the rallies, but the FBI, CIA, and Justice Department.

President Biden was actually suffering from dementia, but those who claimed he was not.

It is not a thought crime to believe that there are two genders rather than three or four or more.

No one should be forced to buy an electric car, disconnect their natural gas stove, or participate in racial or gender indoctrination sessions.

Americans can express their opinions and do what they want without fear of being censored, blacklisted, ostracized, exposed, shadowbanned, or imprisoned. I should write.

Campuses are not oasises of tolerance, detached inquiry, and free expression. Instead, schools have increasingly become centers of overpriced indoctrination, tearing the Constitution to shreds and housing indebted graduate students who know less but are far more prejudiced than when they entered.

Mr. Trump and his MAGA appointees have promised to cut the federal government's annual budget by more than $1 trillion and dismantle entire government agencies.

Are you arguing against the idea that an ever-expanding government with $36 trillion in debt and nearly $2 trillion annual deficits should continue to expand?

President Trump has promised to reform the Pentagon and eliminate the DEI commissioner and the revolving door of corporate headquarters.

He holds the four-star ranks responsible for Afghanistan's debacle and vows to re-enlist soldiers who were expelled due to strict vaccination requirements and awakenings to intolerance.

President Trump envisions changing the entire military procurement system.

Do we oppose the status quo because our military leadership is winning wars overseas?

Is the Pentagon currently full of eager recruits? Does it have a huge surplus of artillery shells, bombs, and rockets?

President Trump has promised a historic deportation of 12 million people who destroyed the southern border and rushed into the country without health or criminal audits.

President Trump vows to rescue overwhelmed social services and stop crimes committed by undocumented felons.

Is it really worse than the Biden administration's mass importation of millions of illegal aliens with the help of drug importation cartels and sex trafficking cartels?

Who is the culprit? Those who blatantly mock and violate the law, or those sworn to enforce it?

President Trump said he would deter adversaries without dragging the United States into “endless wars,” and he did just that in his first four years in office.

Current alternatives are to convince the enemy that an invasion will have little impact, use allies like Israel as punching bags, or spur a war in Ukraine without a plan to win or end the war. Is it preferable?

The Trump revolution is also cultural and social. Shared class interests replaced racial, ethnic, and gender chauvinism.

Athletes of all races no longer kneel during the national anthem in protest of America's alleged systemic racism. Sometimes they celebrate scores by performing the honorific Trump YMCA/golf swing dance on national television.

Enlisting to help plan the Trump counterrevolution does not necessarily predicate a degree, a traditional resume, or a long history of government service. Race and gender alone do not determine eligibility. There are no classes either.

Common sense, a successful life outside the government and a desire to end the current nonsense count as better prerequisites.

For Trump, surrounded by an ideologically diverse cadre of Elon Musk, Robert Kennedy Jr., Dana White, Tulsi Gabbard, and Joe Rogan, party identity, titles, and traditions have become more important to Trump. prestige is not that important.

This country no longer needs to constantly apologize for its past and present, and can move forward with the content that it doesn't have to be perfect to be better than all alternatives.

Flashing pronouns, renaming iconic landmarks, toppling statues, trashing bodies, vandalizing campus libraries, and spewing anti-Semitic venom with impunity. An era is coming to an end.

So another name for the Trump counterrevolution is a simple return to sanity.
