Anthony Hopkins writing an autobiography: ‘It’s a weird process’

Sir Anthony Hopkins' next project won't require much character development.

“I'm writing a biography,” the famous actor and director told People magazine. “It's a strange process.”

“I realized how lucky I am. Maybe it's because of my acting brain. I have a pretty good memory,” the 86-year-old admitted. “I remember days over years and months.”

Along with his reflections, Hopkins said his wife of 20 years, Stella, is working on a documentary about him and that he has a “total blank slate” for her. [cover] all. ”

“It's quite a bit of film. I don't know when it will be released,” he told the outlet. Silence of the Lambs co-star Jodie Foster has revealed that she was interviewed for Stella's project.

He and Foster won Academy Awards for the 1991 film.

Hopkins' career has been filled with success. The Welsh actor, who has more than 140 acting credits on IMDb, says he still loves his job. “I'm really lucky to be able to work at my age,” Hopkins said. “They still seem to send me scripts, and I'm like, 'Sure.'”

“I love the process of preparing for a role,” he added. “It keeps my brain activated neurologically. I love it.”

Hopkins is still astute and motivated, but he knows he doesn't have the luxury of time. “I know I'm destined to die,” he told People magazine. “Realistically, I know that if I can work for a few more years, I can do it. So work keeps me alive. I love working. I love being an actor. I love being active. ”
