Anti-Israel demonstrators gathered in front of the home of George Washington University (GWU) President Ellen Grunberg on Tuesday night.
The crowd of protesters saw Protesters outside Granberg’s mansion in Washington, D.C., chanted, “We students have the power,” “Granberg is in the ivory tower,” and “Granberg, Granberg, we know you.” “We are complicit in genocide,” the protesters chanted.

“However, what is currently happening at GW is not peaceful protest protected by the First Amendment or university policy,” Granberg added. “Like many demonstrations across the country, this demonstration has grown into what can only be classified as an illegal and potentially dangerous occupation of GW property.”
Grunberg went on to call out the protesters for vandalizing a statue of George Washington and for surrounding and threatening “GW students” with anti-Semitic images and hateful speech.

The GWU anti-Israel encampment, set up on April 25, is one of the remaining encampments set up on college campuses across the country, in support of the first encampment that began at Columbia University on April 17. It is one.
The protesters at the GWU camp are made up of students from GWU and other universities, including American University, Gallaudet University, George Mason University, and the University of Maryland.
The protesters at the encampment are calling on universities to withdraw from companies that sell technology and weapons to Israel, disclose all donations and investments, end academic cooperation with Israel, and close their campuses. They are demanding the protection of pro-Palestinian speech within the country.
Breitbart News requested a statement from the Metropolitan Police Department, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
