Anti-Israel protesters sue Columbia University over suspensions

Three anti-Israel protesters claim that Columbia University accidentally stopped them and forced them out of their student housing for their politics.

According to the February 3rd lawsuit, Katherine Curran Grohm, Aidan Parisi and Brandon Murphy also allegedly injured during the on-campus protests.

Graduate social work students Parisi and Murphy were kicked out of Colombia in April after school president Minush Shafik called out the NYPD and were kicked out of Colombia to clear the ongoing camp. He was one of the protesters.

According to the lawsuit, Colombia received many complaints about the two students, but “didn't do anything to protect them from anti-Palestinian violence.”

Students are seeking unspecified damages. A university spokesman declined to comment on the lawsuit.
