The NYPD was not toying with a group of anti-Israel demonstrators who brought their children to a demonstration in front of Sen. Chuck Schumer's home in Brooklyn on Saturday.
About 60 people gathered outside the Schumer's Prospect Park West building for what they called an “angry playdate,” where they colored about “Zionist bullying” and called out President-elect Donald Trump for the Jewish state. He also called for the suspension of funding.
However, the NYPD quickly removed the protesters and blocked the street, saying the agitators did not have permits.
The parents clashed with the officers, calling them “dictators” and shouting “KKK NYPD.”
One organizer told officers: “I'm going to sue you guys.”
“Schumer, Schumer, in time Palestine will be liberated,” some chanted, while others held signs that read “Israel kills Palestinian children.”
“Chuck Schumer enables genocide,” one organizer claimed.
Mr. Schumer's office did not immediately respond to inquiries from the Post.
Children's activity books featuring characters created by Palestinian cartoonist Naji al-Ali were distributed on Saturday amid speeches by organizers who declined to identify themselves.
“Children like me keep losing our homes to Zionist bullies,” the character Handara is quoted as saying.
