Students attending Duke University’s graduation ceremony walked out on Sunday in protest of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, who was scheduled to receive an honorary degree, with some booing the comedian and saying, “Free Palestine,” he shouted.
Jerry Seinfeld has publicly supported Israel in the months since the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack. Video footage of Sunday’s ceremony posted on social media showed groups of students, some holding Palestinian flags, shouting in protest and walking away.

Jerry Seinfeld expressed his support for Israel in the days after the October 7 attack, writing on social media, “I will always support Israel and the Jewish people.”
The comedian traveled to Israel in December to show support both for the country in its fight against Hamas and for families suffering at the hands of the terrorist organization.
As reported by Breitbart News, the comedian’s wife Jessica recently donated $5,000 to a pro-Israel rally protesting the pro-Palestinian demonstrations at UCLA.
Sunday’s walkout at Duke University is the latest example of growing anti-Israel sentiment on the elite university’s campus, with students occupying buildings and common areas to protest wars in the Middle East. In some cases, students even praise Hamas, ignoring the terrorist organization’s well-documented abuses against Palestinians.
Anti-Israel protests have taken place at elite universities across the country, including Columbia University, Harvard University, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, and New York University.
