Bolton: Trump's Greenland strategy could help Xi and Putin
|
|
|
John Bolton, former national security adviser to President-elect Trump, said Trump's reluctance to remove military forces from Greenland was a sign that China was trying to legitimize its expansionist vision. He said it could strengthen the positions of President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Bolton said in an interview with CNN's Caitlan Collins on Tuesday night that he was concerned that Trump's language “could have further repercussions.”

Pentagon sends assets to California to fight wildfires
|
|
|
The Department of Defense is sending additional assets to California to assist with massive wildfires burning in Los Angeles and the southern part of the state. Sabrina Singh, deputy Pentagon spokeswoman, told reporters Wednesday that the United States is sending 10 naval helicopters carrying buckets of water. Singh said the Department of Defense is working closely with the California National Guard to add two modular airborne fire extinguishers.
