Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D.Y.) questioned former colleague Hunter Biden about “exactly” what crimes President Biden is guilty of during a heated exchange at Wednesday’s impeachment hearings. He slammed Tony Bobulinski.
“Does your testimony today mean that you personally witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime?” AOC asked, staring at Bobulinski.
But before Bobulinski could answer, an animated progressive representative interrupted him by repeating the same question.
“How much time do we have to spend?” Bobulinski fired back, citing a number of crimes, alleging that the president committed RICO violations and engaged in financial corruption in connection with his dealings with his son Hunter.

“Sir, what exactly is the crime?” AOC demanded.
Bobulinski replied, “You asked me to answer a question. I answered a question. RICO, you obviously don’t know. Corruption laws, FARA.”
“I’m sorry, sir, I’m sorry, RICO is not a crime. It’s a category,” AOC defiantly exclaimed.
“This is a category of crime that will then be prosecuted,” Bobulinski said before AOC began talking about him.

“The funny thing is, there’s no one in this committee room, but we have more than 18 lawyers who went to law school. I’ll leave it to you to define this law,” Bobulinski shot back. I was interrupted again.
AOC continued to talk about Bobulinski and yelled, “Take back time!”
She also scolded Republicans over the impeachment inquiry, accusing them of spending 15 months “lost in the desert” with no evidence that President Biden committed “high crimes or misdemeanors.”

AOC’s assertion that RICO is not a crime quickly became a hot topic on social media, and Republicans reached out to lawmakers for comment.
“And of course… after being completely embarrassed by claiming RICO is not a crime, AOC’s favorite network stood by her,” FOX News contributor Joe Concha wrote in X.
“AOC was shattered during the Hunter Biden hearings. In fact, she was so shattered that she claimed RICO is not a crime. Well…empty the jails! Oh, and for the record. , all defendants in the Georgia case brought by Fani Willis are subject to RICO. Oops,”’ Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) wrote on X.

RICO refers to the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, which covers organized crime as well as dishonest business activities such as money laundering.
Former President Donald Trump is currently facing a RICO lawsuit in Georgia over the 2020 election.
The Republican-led House Oversight Committee asked X to refute AOC’s claims, writing, “(Hint: RICO is a federal law codified in 18 USC §§ 1961-68).”
Bobulinski criticized the president’s son for “running away” from the American people after refusing to appear at a Congressional hearing.
Bobulinski previously testified that President Biden “enabled” Hunter Biden to sell access to America’s “most dangerous adversaries,” including China and Russia.
Hunter Biden’s former business partner called for “truth and transparency” to prevail in a statement.
